Several Officers were injured in Code in SouthWoods State Prison, related to Officer Chomo, being assaulted by an inmate.  Officer Chomo has severe bruises about the face, suffering from being hit with possible lock in the sock before response team arrived.  The responding injured officers were treated with minor injuries.  The Union Questions Possible Gang related incident.

Officer J. Smith of New Jersey State Prison was assaulted on Sunday Feb, 14,2010, by an inmate while letting out religious services on the tier.  Officer Smith suffered a blackened eye and received several stitches in the mouth.  The Union Questions Possible Gang related incident.

We wish for speedy recovery of all officers hurt in the assaults, also to those injured while assisting fellow conrads.
